⭘ The pressing problems arising in urban development and complex challenges facing future spatial development can no longer be addressed by any single discipline, and a deeper interdisciplinary integration is on the horizon. In June 2022, the open call of "PRD 3.0: Balance is More" was launched by Doreen Heng LIU, the curator of the Young UABB Section, to invite young architects who focus on the Greater Bay Area to submit their proposals in collaboration with researchers and practitioners in other fields. After careful deliberation by the judges, a total of 8 groups of participants were finally selected to present at the main venue of the 9th UABB.

⭘ Among the selected exhibits, the participants are from universities and research institutions around the world; their professional backgrounds include different disciplines such as architecture, environmental science, marine ecology, geography, transportation engineering, economics, sociology, art and philosophy; their works focus on issues such as capturing and collecting marine microplastic, sustainable habitat for post-human, high-tech and low-carbon mobility mechanism, marine eco-civilization in the new era, high-density urban space and social order, urban planting and dining space, lightweight urban eco-spatial structure, and reflections on carbon emission in daily life. Based on their research and practice, the young participants present their interdisciplinary, integrated and innovative exhibits, to confront the complex challenges of spatial development together.
