⭘ Space is the core of architecture. How should architecture, as a traditional discipline, respond to the changing perceptions and uncertain future? Themed on Perception of Space, the fall semester 2021 of the South to South seminar/lecture series will comprise six sessions - five lectures & discussions and one review & summary. Based on "uncertainty" and "change" in the future of Architecture, the discussion sessions will focus on five topics: Human and Scale, Domestic and Life, Design (with-out) Innovation, Climate Change and New-Neo Space, and will be delivered in two dimensions: research and practice. Chaired and moderated by Prof. Doreen Heng Liu, the seminar will gather domestic and international architects and scholars to dialogue with artists, sociologists, anthropologists and geographers, incorporating art, aesthetics and humanities into the discussion of architecture to probe into the future challenges facing architecture.
