2024 "SOUTH TO SOUTH" LECTURE SERIES | Architectural Behaviorology - Creating Better Accessibility to Local Resources

○Yoshiharu Tsukamoto, co-founder of Atelier Bow-Wow and professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, has been invited to deliver the fourth lecture in the Re-South series, titled Architectural Behaviorology—Creating Better Connections with Local Resources.

○Founded in 1992 by Yoshiharu Tsukamoto and Momoyo Kaijima, Atelier Bow-Wow practices under the concept of Architectural Behaviorology. This approach studies behaviors encompassing both natural elements—such as light, air, heat, wind, and water—and human and construction activities. Architectural Behaviorology begins with analyzing these behaviors, aiming to optimize their occurrence within specific spatial contexts. It focuses on repetition, rhythm, and sharing in human interactions, ultimately shifting architectural design from individualized expressions to collective experiences.
