○On October 19, 2025, the exhibition WIND BLOWS, WATER RISES:Re-defining Infrastructure in Public-ness: Practice & Research will open at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University. As the first domestic stop, this exhibition continues from the inaugural show at Aedes in Berlin in February 2025 and serves as a summary of the research outcomes from NODE Architecture & Urbanism and the GBA Lab at Shenzhen University. The exhibition integrates practice displays, academic discussions, and a grand unveiling, creating a platform for dialogue between infrastructure in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta.
○ If the Berlin exhibition focused on Edward Kögel’s examination of Chinese independent architects' practices from a Western and global perspective, Feng Jiang brings a regional and southern viewpoint to WIND BLOWS, WATER RISES. He imbues the exhibition with three layers of meaning: inspired by the vibrant scenes of "lao yusheng" (a traditional Shunde dish), echoing the spatial wisdom of the "wind corridors and water pavilions" in Lingnan architecture, and pointing to the aspirations of Doreen Heng Liu’s team to use design to address urban pain points—focusing on neglected issues such as water infrastructure, urban villages, and marginal urban spaces.
